The One With Knowledge Tracking
Like everyone else in EME6414, I have been very focused on my Knowledge Tracking assignment. Pondering which platforms would be effectives, how I would track the analytics and how I can make content engaging. As we are all stuck in during this quarantine, I figured travel would be a great topic. If you are like me, you are probably craving a nice, relaxing vacation right about now or are wondering when you will be able to take the vacation you had to cancel. I am constantly looking for new destinations I want to visit, now so more than ever, so I am fully prepared when the world reopens. I wanted to share my love of adventure and travel with everyone for this assignment.
To do so, I did not just want to find existing blogs with travel tips, favorite destinations or Instagram-able spots in different cities, I wanted to share my experiences with everyone as well. I created a new blog to show off my pictures, my itineraries, and my knowledge on places I visited and fell in love with!
Check out my new blog! Where In The World? The blog is great because it is so easy to see how many views and comment you received so tracking analytics is simple.
I also linked my blog to numerous Twitter and Instagram posts in the last two weeks. Twitter also makes it very easy to track analytics by showing impressions, or many people saw the Tweet as well as engagements, or how many interacted with the tweet through clicks, likes, retweets, etc. After converting to a Professional Instagram, I can now see similar analytics on my posts.
The site I find most useful for my collection of travel related items was Pinterest. I created a Travel Board with multiples Sections to help organize my pins based on geographic location. I created Pins with my own pictures or picture collages I created on Canva to link my blog to the Pin as well as adding other Pins from other Travel bloggers to my board. Pinterest also provides great analytics to see and monitor impressions and engagements.
Check out my Travel Board on Pinterest to get inspired on where you will vacation post-quarantine!
